I want to go build and man the Military base on the dark side of the moon and watch the shitpot that is human life on Earth stir for the next thirty years, while perfecting moonshot missions back and forth between us.
My idea is similar to the 'Galaxy Quest' single shot wormhole transport, but a little more real.

John Larkin doesn't think, and doesn't understand the thought processes of those who do.
Changing environments drive evolution by driving to extinction the creature s who were well-adapted to the previous environment. Once those creatures a re gone, there's an empty ecological niche ready to be invaded by a new spe cies that can cope with the new conditions. It can take a while for a new s pecies to evolve to fill the niche - a couple of million years after the Cr etaceous-Paleogene extinction event ...
