Don't know what happened to the original post, but that looks like some of the aluminum channel stock the local Lowe's carries.

Addressing just the original post issue: I don't see it either. I've see that same symptom - missing the original post - a handful of times recently. I wonder what causes that, and have no guess as to what it is.

I found 1-5/8" drywall TRACK(*) at Atko Building Materials (in Mesa), $3.95 for 10' lengths.

Had to take my Frontier... amazing it started... it sits there for months at a time, undriven ;-)

(*) 20 gauge U-channel, but no pre-punched holes like sheet metal studs have.

$3.95 !! I bought some 3/4" aluminum U track (don't know the right name for it) at the hardware store. Over $10.00 for 6 feet. :-( I used 2 pieces to make a boom for a 6 meter yagi. Is the stuff you bought stiff enough for that if you make a rectangular boom from 2 pieces? (The elements were light aluminum 1/4" tubing.) With 10' I wouldn't need to make extensions if I ever decide to renew the experiment. I was (unsuccessfully) experimenting with signal polarization.
