Well, yes, if that is Jim's view, then I must be Mao, as I once was a PvdA member (ended many years ago when they started voting down there own programs).

I do not feel affiliated with any political party at the moment. What sings in the Netherlands is basically singing Obama Obama, and if a new president is elected in Obama land, then they will sing that song.

US works very hard on the destabilisation of Europe, using George Soros's strategy of attacking once country's finances after the other, using the rating agencies, while in fact the dollar is worth nothing NOTHING, so many have been printed, I am sure George has now taken positions against the dollar, he always does boom bust bubble piercing, so that dollar WILL slide in a big way in a while. Numbers for US economy were bad yesterday...

And China and Japan just made an agreement to directly trade their currencies and no longer go via the US dollar. Possibly there will be a flight into the Chinese currency, not sure.

I understand the current multinational oil company strategy supported by the leaders they push forwards is:

Bomb the oil fields in those countries, this will get us the oil. Then lots of fugitives we give help and shelter, those will be our modern day slaves that do the dirty work that others do not want to do for low wages,

One of the simulations I run...

If aliens landed, and would explore us, this is perhaps one of the few things they could learn from us. Or evolution would have made them even more

Unlikely. The Chinese have much too much control over their own currency for anybody else to use it as a medium of exchange with third parties.

The deal seems to be more symbolic than anything else - the Chinese seem unlikely to loosen their control on the renminbi enough to make it an attractive medium of exchange, and while the Japanese have been able to denominate transactions in the yen or the renminbi for a few years now, nobody actually does it.

Paradoxically, the bureaucratic restrictions on what the European countries can do to the Euro makes it a relatively safe and predictable medium of exchange. The bankers are attacking the borrowings of individual countries, rather than the Euro as such.

the leaders they push forwards is:

That may well have been what Dubbya had in mind when he invaded Irak, but he seriously under-estimated the number of US troops it would take to keep the oil flowing, so that strategy has been thoroughly discredited. More important, the Americans have discovered fracking, and so all their gas-guzzlers will soon be running on their own natural gas.

not want to do for low wages,

They can get all they need from Mexico, without going to the trouble of starting a war, though the fatuous "war on drugs" is creating a lot of collateral damage in Mexico, encouraging the flow of migrant labour to the safer USA.

Not so fast, the oil field concessions in Iraq were nicely given to well known oil companies. It worked.

Oil that comes out of the ground in as a fluid at high pressure is an easy catch compared to complicated methods to fist fracture rock with possible dangeroud chemicals. From:

The 2011 US House of Representatives investigative report on the chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing states that out of 2,500 hydraulic fracturing products, "[m]ore than 650 of these products contained chemicals that are known or possible human carcinogens, regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act, or listed as hazardous air pollutants".[47]

Not so good to posion your own drinking water and land,

The number of Mexicans wanting to come to the US decreases. because the US standard of living is dropping and will soon be below that of the surrounding countries, if it is not already on third world country level. Jim buying guns at his age is a sign on the wall that soon there will just be some lose states with warlords.

Sure, but there's only so much of it in the ground, and we are not finding more of it as fast as we are sucking out the oil we have found.

Don't be silly. The average American doesn't enjoy a northern European standard of living, but they do a lot better than the average Mexican.

Wrong. It's a sign that he's got caught up in the typical American enthusiasm for having guns around the house - it was his kids that encouraged him, not local crime nor any kind of realistic anxiety about civil insurrection.

Yes, Alzheimer makes him flippety flop, in the old days he educted his kids, now his kids sort of steer him a bit.

One day one of his kids will say " "HEY PA LOOK A LIBERAL" And with his fresh training on moving targets he will fire. Sort of a reflex.

I do not think Jim should have a firearm. Maybe the Homesexaul Black Muslim Illegal Immigrant from Kenia can revoke his license?

Do Americons have a sense of humor? I wonder...

And as to Romney, I have read he destroyed several pension funds...
