The Earthlink news server farm died a horrible. slow death last Friday at 4:23 PM. It isn't accepting new messages. It still displays existing messages and allows you to post replies or new messages that do propgate to other servers. Earthlink promised me it would be back on line late Saturday, but I'm still waiting.

and click on "News". They can't even get the error message right. :(

In the meantime there's groups.google.com.

What do you expect from ourtsourced tech support and programmers in India? They are probably on vacation till Easter and made the change before they left.

Sorry, the "Net Status" page is full of javascripts. You have to click on "Misc Services", then on "News".

BTW, I tried to send a copy of what was wrong to Robert Baer, but he has the spam filtering set so high that it replied with a challenge. I'm not playing his damn games. I deleted the request, and he can keep wondering why no one rplies to him.
