OT Well, it's official: The PHB is a liberal!

Stupid has no political affiliation. If you made a scatter plot out of it, the correlation would not support the hypothesis.

Stupid is far too universal to respect such narrow categories. Stupid has Bandwidth. it is palpable.

My parents are liberals. And they are mostly smart folks, far as it goes. Dad's a student of Mark Twain and retired telephone man, Mom has a degree in pipe organ and taught school. They are good people. They've exhibited their share of courage in the world.

I think there is a hole in the Firmament where Bobby Kennedy should have been. If he'd have failed; fine. But we never actually got to see. Instead, Hunter S. Thompson reported that Carter quoted Dylan in a meeting and that got him elected.

I was sitting cross-legged on the sculpted gold harvest carpet at the age of eight when Howard K. Smith come on the TV saying bobby had been shot. I was assembling a Tandy moccasin kit.

It's probably not true; Clinton fixed public housing with Section 8, but Clinton was a lot more hoss as a politician (warts and all ) than Kennedy was. The rest of The Great Society looks frightening now. The War on Poverty probably, by the numbers was the War on Getting People Out of Poverty.

The economists will have another battle or two over it. Maybe, just maybe well get a better bite on it and go around again.

Well, I will grant you, at one point in time "liberal" had something to do with "Liberty". But it seems that these days it means "socialist".

Remember the "bleeding hearts"? They wanted to take care of _everybody_, the unfortunate as well as the lazy and negligent, using _your_ money.
