It's official: YOU PAY!!! And Oh yeah, You're fired too!

We've all seen the debate here and elsewhere as to whether or not "Green House Gases" in general and CO2 in particular are the man-made (anthropogenic) cause of global warming.

Well folks, I saw on the evening news tonight that the debate is now officially over! That's right the same kind of prize-winning government scientists that in the past at the CDC provided such monumental and life-changing discoveries such as the FACT that guns are actually a "virus" and that the "gun virus" is epidemic in the country killing untold tens of thousands of citizens, but this time "scientists" at the EPA have issued a final determination that global warming is not only real but that "green house gases", and especially CO2, are the FACTUAL cause.

It has never been more clear than this! Nevermind that the AGW polar exploration team nearly died of hypothermia and frostbite while searching for melting icebergs. Nevermind that CO2 has insufficent IR absorption to actually cause any climate change. Nevermind that Algore reversed the causality of sea temperature and dissolved CO2 claiming that CO2 increases triggered higher sea temperatures rather than higher sea temperatures driving off dissolved CO2. Nevermind all that crap. Those are OLD debates! And they are now ALL closed!

That's right, the question is now OVER for ALL ETERNITY! The EPA ruling triggers massive industrial powers for the Obama administration allowing them to shut down whole industries costing millions of jobs as well as taxing pollution (and profits) right out of existence! But have no fear, the estimated trillion and a half dollars to be extracted from the American people is but a pittance compared to eliminating the threat of "anthropogenic global warming". Just watch. Once all these measures are firmly in place check the average temperature rise on the planet and you will see that predicted massive increases in planetary temperature was averted and the all the dire predictions of doom were neatly avoided by this minor expenditure by the American People. God Bless 'em!

Of course the free enterprise bright spot in this scary picture is that the news also noted that GM finds bankruptcy inevitable now, which means that through good old free enterprise GM beat the government bureaucrats to the punch and put themselves out of business before the government could do it! Yep. Let's hear it for the American Way!

Yes, the Environmental Protection Agency has determined and announced today that carbon dioxide (and 5 other gases) pose a danger to human health and the environment. Meaning that they can now be regulated under the US Clean Air Act.

Since the overwhelming weight of science result and a joint, worldwide consensus of scientists interpreting that body provide decisive, factual support for the decision, together with the fact that the US Supreme Court firmly decided a while back that the EPA had full authority for saying so, I don't find it shocking at all.

Democracy doesn't seem to be working for you, so what is it that you right-wing nutcases actually want? Permanent 1-party rule?

Does this mean we will no longer be allowed to exhale or eat bean burritos?

Don't let me become the head of the EPA and you won't have to find out!

Jon

But its all caused by the sun....

Cheers

If the EPA enforcement officers even _see_ you leaning sideways in your chair, you're busted!

Hey Joe, how about a REPUBLIC? That was the original idea, was it not? It certainly wasn't dictatorship.

Shut up! It's CO2. The EPA decreed it, Obama agrees with it, Andro approved it, and I believe it.

Nothing more needs to be said! When you new higher electric bill comes just shut up and pay it.

"Overwhelming weight of science" and "worldwide consensus of scientists"?

Cripes! Jon, you are an even BIGGER joke than I am!

(or should I say bigger shill)

Bean tax! Bean tax!

Seriously though, soaking beans overnight in hot water removes most of the galactans that produce flatulence. (Just don't drink the dark water left over: pure dissolved galactans.)

What can't you understand about peer-reviewed science and the IPCC?

Nope. It just means that your emissions will be taxed to death... actually even after death.

I can see it now. Every building will have special fart rooms that will accept ten dollar coins. Better plan on no more beer.

Which has nothing to do with voting...which is how this all is getting done.

/BAH

Yeah, right. In Newspeak "dictatorship" =3D having voted for a losing candidate, and "republic" =3D the good old days.

Not possible. The death tax will take everything anyway. Hmm, maybe it's time to invest in mortuaries. I can see some big funerals coming (last chance to decide where your money goes).

Sure. They'll tax every energy producing enterprise. Then again, they'll tax everything, including air, so why should energy be exempt.

Taxidermy might be a better bet ;-)
