My neighbor and I put his RO unit, all of it, in his laundry room. Ran

3/8 dia tubing to the kitchen which is about 25' away. We opted for the bigger dia in case the skinny stuff slowed the flow too much. It works just peachy. Art

The system should be under-pressure (around 50 PSI). So, even 1/4" should be fine.

PS: I reversed back to old Google group.

Our RO system is entirely in the basement, with a booster pump. Works fine that way.

The only reason we needed the booster is because the system is well

*below* the use point. If you're only moving it horizontally, you shouldn't need a pump, although larger tubing to the pressure tank wouldn't hurt. Given a choice, keep the pressure tank near the tap and move the RO's filter units instead.

(the tank is a bypass capacitor, the tubing is your copper wiring. The rest should be obvious ;)

Found it -- under "User settings". I had to first set "new GG" as the default, then it offered me the option of reverting to "old."

Yes, you are right. Input should be 30 to 40 PSI and tank should be 5 to 7 PSI. Mine was leaking; so. i removed it from the cabinet. I've been using bottle water. After fixing it, i might just install the filter up high, outdoor. That way, i don't need the pressure tank and just let gravity take over.

You can trickle it into a small bottle, or even those water heater/ cooler directly. As long as the water is above the outlet tap, it should be fine. I will probably drill a hole on bottom of the 5 gallon bottle. I hate changing water bottles anyway.
