butterfly laser

Got this on ebay, milled the lid off to see what's inside.

I haven't figured out the circuit with the inductor and, possibly, a parallel-plate capacitor. Bias tee?

The laser and feedback photodiode are apparently sitting on a TE cooler and maybe a BeO insulator block.

I would say a TEC is in there , it?s a Type 2. pins 6&7 are the TEC. Your pictures don't show them well.

Probably a bias tee. There's a standard pinout that has the LD connected via an inductor to one pin, and a resistor to another. The last one I used was like that.
