There was a power outage in California this last Sunday evening February 19. That shutdown the Oakland airport.

Sabotage hasn't been ruled out. This is just another illustration how dependent we are on the electrical grid. I've read an enemy could sabotage 7 power stations and pretty much shut the U.S. down.
