Nigeria is a useless  country. It is frustration from this that is making the rest of the local youths go in to illegal activities to steal crude oil from oil pipe lines to sell. Th e international Court should rather jail all the chiefs that sued  Shell and make them accountable for all the money shell has  paid  previously as  oil royalty and other purpose.."

The illegal oil-tapping is a major problem, but Shell hasn't yet worked out how to stop it, or even how to limit the amount of oil lost whenever the pipe-lines are breached. One can imagine schemes that might protect the more vulnerable sections of the pipe-line - armouring them, or enclosing them in a secondary structure which could be pressurised and the pressure monitored to detect breaches - but Shell hasn't gone to the trouble of paying for anything effective.
