It is an old old observation that lefties try to persuade others on the streets, in the light of day, in full view of everyone. OTOH fascists try to persuade others down dark alleys in the dead of night.

None that krw can see. Not that he's looking very hard - he knows what he wants to believe, and isn't going to put any effort into acquiring data that might conflict with what he "knows".

Jim-out-of-touch-with-reality-Thompson clearly has his head some place where it can't observe much. Confusing krw's disconnect from reality with Tom Gardner's wry, but perfectly realistic, point of view has to be a pretty dramatic example.
