OT: Food Combos Not to Do

I added A1 steak sauce to pasta sauce on pasta.. Bleeechhh :O*** .... Absolutely gross....

Long lasting after taste too..I had to use mouthwash..

I think raw meat and ice cream would taste better.

YUK! What were you thinking?!

One combination that actually does taste pretty good is corn and chocolate. You wouldn't think it would, but there must be something in the chemistry....?

You could form it into kind of a sausage shape for better presentation...

Rum doesn't mix with root beer. Trust me on this one.

Back when I had a proper kitchen, I used to do a lot of cooking. One day, I was making some cream sauce (flour, butter, water), I thought I'd throw in a little whole wheat flour, just to give it some flavor and color.

I accidentally made a cup of Cream-o-Wheat! ;-)

I'd like to make some "beefy logs" (See "South Park") - what I have in mind is some pie crust dough, rolled very thin, with a very thin layer of lean ground beef on top, suitably seasoned, and roll them up into a log shape.

I wonder if that would work, and how they'd taste?

I once took a generous shot of vodka, soda water (seltzer) mixer, and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar, and it tasted just exactly like root beer!

To me, rum has always tasted like old dirt.

I thought rum had a Coke like flavor. Thats straight not mixed.

Don't ever put ketchup on hot dogs, but my barbecue sauce is V8 juice based, best on pork. I never tried it on a pork dog.

Soda water and brown sugar is about all there is in modern commercial root beer.

Putting *any* sauce on *good* steak is sacrilege, punishable by an enforced diet of Mc Donald's hamburgers for life.

Yes, I've done that. Being a popcorn lover I've tried a bunch of flavorings.

For chocolate additive I used the powder from a can having a label of a grinning bunny. I don't recall the name.

Has anybody here ever had real haggis? It looks and sounds disgusting, but what does it taste like?

Thanks, Rich

Geez, they\'re not _that_ bad...

Actually, when I\'m in a burger mooed ;) and don\'t want to build my
own and can\'t get to a Whataburger,

I\'ll head for the Golden Arches instead of BK.

The 'extra value meal' at McD offered here in BC is a med coke, med fries and a basic burger with 2 cheese and 2 patties for about $3.99 + tax. Ask for Mac sauce (it's free) and add an extra patty (0.50) and you have a super burger that's cheaper by $1.00 to $2.00 compared than any other McD burger combo.. If only I was crazy enough to bring a weigh scale to McD's :P

But be careful..the teens are not used to doing mods to burgers and often are clueless to operate the console. Big mac meal...No problem...beep beep beep.. Add patty....duhhhhhh

But when I don\'t quite want a burger, here\'s my secret: Hamburger
Hot Dogs:

1 lb ground lean beef,

1/4 lb ground pork,

1 yellow onion, diced.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Combine the ingredients and then add a few squirts of Worcestershire
and Teriyake sauce into the mix in order to make it pliable, and
then roll that into sausages which can fit on a hot dog bun.
