If you want to find some that are somewhat hard, look at the Mind Your Decisions channel.
Congratulations, Tom: first 100% correct answer. There seems to be two approaches here:
1) Add up all the weights and divide by two, or 2) Convert the animals into a, b, c, d and use algebra (specifically simulatious equations) to solve for the unknown.I've always been fascinated by the workings of the human brain and how some people are able to answer questions like this in mere seconds whereas others - in all other regards reasonably intelligent individuals - cannot answer them at all.
So second picture minus first picture means h - s = 10 Add that to the third picture and you know that 2h = 34 so h = 17 Add that to the first picture and h+s+f = 27
