Hi all, I'm doing a life time buy of Panasonic caps. according to octo parts, onlinecomponents is about 25% lower than the other usual suspects, (mouser, digi, arrow..etc.)

Has any one dealt with them? Good reviews/ or bad?

Thanks

Curiously enough, on another lifetime buy (Fairchild opto stuff). The parts arrived and they were genuine.

OK thanks, I was adding up all the numbers and stock today, and we have a lot of stock! (due to a now gone (yeah!) production manager.) So the numbers are not too bad.. It's not really a good thing, but we already have a life time supply of a few!

My boss wants me to shoot a quote to Newark. They helped us out lately.

I'd loved to hear anyone's opinion on Newark. My boss love's 'em cause he likes to haggle. I hate 'em, cause as octoparts shows their "quoted" price starts out high.

If the buy is only a few $k I'd vote to send it to digikey, since they're the only place that sent me an obsolete warning... and I love their search engine.

I have placed a few orders with them. No problems. They had the best price on some telco relays I needed once.

Check Allied Electronics, they may have some of what you need. They will haggle with your boss if the order is big enough.

I like Newark. They have a warehouse in Jersey, so I usually get parts in a day without paying extra. Plus they often have common parts on sale, so you get the 10k piece price even for onesies.
