Varian probably provides NEW replacements, upgrades. So that idea doesnt work ;)

Like this mfg the old ones are surplus, and I doent see any we made, just ones manufactured later and ones sourced from india ( which didnt work out too well )

And yes thats a huge copper heat sink is the later ones, these were build to print.

Seeing products I helped design on eBay didn't bother me too much. The miserable condition of some items didn't make me feel very good about the customers, but that was also tolerable. What made me depressed was when one radio as labeled as "vintage", and when I later found my stuff in an online radio "museum": (Intech) May we all live long enough to have that happen.
