Transmission line transformers are a bit a specialist option. The fact you are also a fast circuit buff may come into it.
I've just started the application for a provisional patent on a better way of making a toroidal transformer winding non-progressive.
Most of the techniques published push up the parallel capacitance of the winding appreciably. I don't think that there is any way of doing the job that will push it up less than mine does.
I very much doubt that I'll make any money out of it, but it is a dead simple idea, and ought to have been obvious to those skilled in the art, so it does strike me as cute.
It might even work if you wrap thin coax around toroids.
