Wow, the guy then goes on to say that there are no space-charge effects in tubes. Wow, I know many people who got a Ph.D. and a career out of space charge effects in vacuum systems!
In the late 90's, space charge was "sold" by scamsters as a proof of the superiority of vacuum-tube audio systems...

I suppose it's based on two tunnel diodes back-to-back. Of course, the name 'tunnel diode' gave away the secret, which is why you can't get them any more.
The oldest transistors still in service are now beginning to fail catastrophically; the die disintegrates due to the weakening caused by the tunnels created by the electrons. Before failure, the electrons can travel at increased speed through the damaged die. In audio amplifiers, this results in improved frequency response, the bass speeds up and the stereo image depth increases. Reports of improved phase declamation are as yet unconfirmed, except for power devices in black-painted metal TO-3 enclosures.
New high-reliability transistors will have an extra electrode for injecting holes periodically (every 10 ns to 1 fortnight) to combat the tunnelling. A supply of holes can be obtained from wholesalers, of course.
John, you clearly need to invest in my metal oxide tunnel transistor. The tunnel is many electrons in diameter. I can sell you these devices, of which I have both sizes for preamplifer use and power output use. I hihgly recommend using the larger devices as the tunnel is much bigger and can accomodate more electrons, which results in a much purer sound.
These devices are specially manufacutured in my workshop (the shed out the back) so you cannot by them elsewhere. If you would like some, please email me. No other manufacturer in the world has these. The MOTT is clearly the best transtistor in the world today for audio use.
No; the black pigment MUST be directly in contact with the metal, to align the magnetoelectric domains anisotropically.

That's an excellent idea. The holes could be supplied in clip-in modules (like flash cards). That way the end users could replace them.
Hmm.. a blue LED would light informing the user the hole supply was exhausted and they would either need to buy a new module or put up with reduced frequency response and slower bass.
I see a new business opportunity. :-)

Bah, humbug. Good old uranium based yellows and oranges work just fine. Ground up Fiestaware Red will do in a pinch.
