Need Tiny Toggle Switches

Hi,

I need some very tiny toggle switches for a miniaturized PDP-1 console

Half the size of subminiature or, preferably, smaller. I've seen such switches on equipment but can't find any. The console requires 41 spst and two sp monentary on. Subminiature will work for the bottom row.

Leads very appreciated, Gary

Small SPDT switches were used on small handheld portable radios like the Motorola MX-300 built in the 80's. These go cheap on e-bay but you would need to buy several radios or find a radio shop with a full parts bin.

-ND are about as small as I've ever seen. (SPST shown, I think. - Didn't really research it in depth.)

Question: Have you considered a membrane switch? I wonder if that would work, or if real estate is too limited? Anyway, Melrose Nameplate & Label Co has done some very small turns for us. And, I recall reading an ad in the back of Circuit Cellar once for a prototype outfit (Canada, I think), that would do as few as 2 keypads. Just a thought.

Well, i did a search in DigiKey for "dipswitch" and they listed abot

6 different ones by Omicron, including Omicron # A6S-2102-P; all were SMT tape and reel meaning SMALL. BUT...NO stock! Mouser lists hundreds - most in stock: check C&K SDA09H0SB or BPA06SB or Tyco/AlcoSwitch GDH02S04 or...
