Name of this connector?

What's the name of this connector? It's commonly used to connect the output of a monitor backlight inverter to the CCFL tubes.

I think it might be a BHS560.

Try JST, but measure the pin pitch very carefully, and the outer/inner encl osure dimensions. Also the PCB foot-print details are all good clues to he lp in positive ID. Some these "series" are close cousins, but not exactly the right fit. From a photo alone, I never try to guess or identify. http ://

Sometimes you get a choice of the wire to boar d connectors to be crimp or IDC, yet other times only one style is offered. I avoid crimp styles, because often the tooling is way over-priced. You can order pre-crimped assemblies, with wires of specific color, length, typ e as another way to deal with these annoying little connectors.

Not often the case, but sometimes you can find an embossed "Logo" on the pa rt, perhaps if you de-solder one and look under it? Google image search, a nd various logo directories, can help identify, but these is rarely fast, e asy, or guaranteed to be successful.

To complicate matters, a few off-brand clones of JST-like backlight connect ors do exist from hard to find Chinese factories. Good luck hunting for th ose if that's what you have in this case! ~Terry M.

Thanks. The JST site seems to be interesting. Let's see if I can ID the connector there.
