I saw on the TV news last week that Don Herbert, who represented General Electric as "Mr . Wizard" in the 50's ( I think) had passed away.
I remember his programs well, as he helped introduce a generation of kids like myself to the wonders and mysteries of scientifical stuff.
It's hard to gauge exactly how much of an influence he had on people like myself, but it was substantial.... I thought the stuff he did was really cool, and I tried to copy some of his simpler experiments......
I am sorry to learn of his passing....
