All a matter of priorities. We rarely go out, never splurge on that ubiquitous daily Latte Mas Grande (saves a ton of money), and live quite frugally otherwise except for food. Oh, and no cheap beer, ever. We don't give each other presents but sometimes buy one for the both of us.

Back then she had long hair.

That's what I meant with priorities. Our cars are way past that age. We don't plan on buying new ones anytime soon because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cars we have, and both are way under 100k miles. So, once in a while we do splurge. Nice dinner, etc.

We generally don't buy Lattes, or such, but we're not beyond buying a coffee at Dinkin' Donuts (except that there are none here). I do spend some cash on hobby stuff, though. Gotta get ready to retire. ;-)

Blond? *Real* long? (Reach ground from the tower long?)

We go out twice a week, but not "nice" dinners, pizza Fridays and brunch Sunday noon. We go to Atlanta or Burmingham once every couple of months, usually for special occasions. Atlanta is normally an overnight trip, not because it's further, rather there is more to do (three toy stores ;). We'll have a nice dinner in Atlanta and lunch (usually at the Cheesecake Factory) when in Birmingham.

Which hobbies might those be, Keith? I was thinking your main hobby was watching football on a big-screen TV... ;-)

Woodworking. *Expensive* toys. ;-)

Actually, I haven't watched a whole game in several years - at least five. I used to go to the pub to watch several at a time, but then fall got to be last minute get-r-done-before-Winter house fixing up time.

Interesting, Keith did not strike me as the big screen type at all.

We have a 42" plasma. Not huge by today's standards but it works for our great room.

I watch a couple of hours a night (usually compressed into 90 minutes). SWMBO has it on whenever she's awake (and significant time when she's not ;).

That can change at a moment's notice, rational thinking branches to an exception handler routine which fails to start, and when it does start your visual communication interfaces will detect a piece of gold around one of your fingers ... :-)

BTDT, but still enjoying it ...

It might be a factor. Then again, i never did get much joy out of permanently unbalanced relationships.

Having had more than one balanced relationship has spoilt me. I won't settle for anything less now.

Given that you've experienced more than one, why would you assume others would be unbalanced?

The very definition of SWBMO requires an unbalanced relationship. "Low WAF (SAF)" does not necessarily require such but does not preclude it.

Absence of spousal input on any significant (impacts spouse plans or desires) decision may indicate injudicious boundaries.

Adults should balance out, and each will have areas of primacy in knowledge, interest, time available. These tradeoffs should adapt as the adults continue to develop, age, and circumstances change.

Absolute nonsense.

Ok...

It'll be 39 years in June, so...
