LED luminance intensity to candela

Hi All,



My customer has specified the LED spec as luminance intensity in candela / square(metre).


SMD LEDs are rated in candela


Question

How can I tell if the LED rated in candela will meet the luminance candela / square(metre) requirement?


Is this a point source to a surface area difference
