That is not the topic. Why does a Hantek probe have 1/20 the performance of a Tek probe?
Oh, what science has the ISS produced that's worth a fraction of the trillion dollars, and the lives, expended?
The Hantek probe is spec'd for 100 MHz, and has a compensation adjust.
Because the Tek probe is a fluorinert immersed, stabilized assembly that can handle the electromotive pressure and maintain accuracy, and places additional protection circuitry for the scope input side.
What sort of voltage do they produce? I have a possible idea.

The low-kilovolt 100:1 probes are not fluorinert filled. Nobody's.
P5122, same specs as the $24 Hantek probe, is $287.
Tek's highest voltage probe is the P6015A, 20KV, for a nice round $2000. It is not fluorinert filled.
You can make and calibrate a capacitive voltage divider pretty easily. The first cap can be FR4.
First I noted several were not in stock, I also notice some have 6pf input capacitance and some have 1.0pf-1.5pf input capacitance.

Might be alright for him, but I have been working on some CROs lately and 2KV just won't cut it. Might barely make it for cathode voltage, BARELY.

Nope. 3M and DuPont. ISTR DuPont has the name trademared. But the substance is a perfluorocarbon fluid.
Same stuff from the movie "The Abyss". Same stuff hospitals really do use to keep premature babies and old men with respiratory disease alive.
Slightly different formulation, but a perfluorocarbon, nonetheless. Very heavily oxygenated.
Definitely NOT 'banned' as it has no chlorine component.

Wrong. It was NEVER ANY type of freon. It was a perfluorocarbon dielectric fluid called by the name "Fluorinert".
Where do you think the "inert" part of the brand name comes from?

At work we have a 60K probe at 250Mhz, it sits on a cart gas filled with the probe tip at the top and scope connection at the base.
That cost us around $5500 5 years or so.

Maybe hang an led in the current path and monitor the light. Are there any LED's that stay ~linear with current to any sort of uA's? (The few I know fall off at ~1mA, maybe the IR ones are better?)
