I got the $20 kit version of that one. I have 2 good scopes, so it was a lark, but it was useful one time which was enough to justify it.
A device in an equipment rack mounted 10 feet up on a wall wasn't receiving RS232 control. The little toy worked perfectly at showing the bad signal levels due to a ground problem.
I would not have wanted to hold a good bench scope on a 10 foot ladder, for my sake as well as the scope's.
BTW that model has a power adapter jack but no battery compartment, which is the only really stupid thing about its design. I just taped a battery pack on the back.
