I thought the best "preventer" of radioactive Iodine poisoning was (non-radioactive) Iodine. Let the thyroid soak up all of the stuff it can so the radioactive stuff gets flushed.

Corrolation is not causation.
The connection is harder to properly substantiate than AGW. Which has = the problem of recent countervailing temperatures to contend with on top of the issue that weather is annual and decadal whereas climate is = centuries to millennia.
