Frequency Scanner

Hello,

Is there a device that will read the encrypted signal from a garage door remote as opposed to the carrier signal? So, for instance if the signal is 16 bit encrypted, then after pressing the button the scanner will show the actual binary resolution.

Thanks much

Yes, there is. Because of that, many garage door openers change the code on every transmission, so such a device wouldn't do you much good in that case.

Why do you want to know what the actual code is? There are many different modulation and encoding schemes used, which one do you want to "decode"? Commercial "code learning" remotes are available if you just want to replace an existing remote.

But if you just want to break in to a garage then it's easier to just bump-key the door or something :->
