Sorry max, but a 2kW switching supply is *not* a suitable project for a beginner, and in fact cannot be reasonably and safely built simply from a schematic drawing, without substantial additional info, knowledge and experience. Have you considered procuring a nice used one on eBay?
BTW in Italy we have 230V as line supply. Win is right, get a ready made thing, if you do not know even this.

In effect is not for a beginner this project,but i think i've some experience. What i nedd is an idea for doing a half controlled bridge for regulating input tension and not have to dissipate 1500w when i take out 10 A at 10 volt! The ripple isn't a problem (and also a perfect sability) because this supply is intended for supply some lamp during test on analogic mesure instruments. Another idea shuold be use a 3525 for a pre-regulation of tension in the ferrite transformer and not use a post dissipative regualtion...........boh!
hmm, A variac/Auto tranformer?
Sounds like a cascade of step downs with one serving as a tracking pre-regulator for the output step-down. This will keep the current and required duty cycles attainable but may not be the most efficient thing around.
