Yup.

There is too much JPEG compression to "prove" one or the other from the image. However, it does seem to be real, except there are some energy transfers that would seem to require outside help. For example, the transfer of energy that "pushes" those wheels uphill. Another is after the fan hits the "antenna" releasing the ball which wiggles a "whip" - which supposedly pushes that oblong "thingie" (has the sound of something soft, hence the term). Seems that some extra "push" may have been involved. Then we get to that cylinder rolling to a contact that runs the door window down. Notice it stopped - then started rolling as if there was no stop. Very suspicious. Then we get to those four clear sheets that supposedly create enough breeze to "push" that whatsie over. And on that "whatsie" is a small meal(?) tube or rod than is "balanced" on it in such a way that it stays on when the "whatsie" is vertical. Also suspicious.

BTW, how in the *&#@$&*#$ does one *save* the file and !!play!! it later???

Find your Temporary Internet Files, and just copy and paste the file to the folder of your choice. That's how I discovered its size. I have also done this with MIDIs and JPGs and other items that were not directly saveable.

It's real, with one (definite) two (maybe) edits to the whole sequence.

The definite edit is during the rolling of the exhaust-silencer, watch the pattern of the FLOORING very carefully and it cross-fades so that the joins in the floor seem to creep.

You used to be able to get a DVD from Honda, for free, that had the advert in full and the "making of The Cog".

Weights on the wheel. They are JUST counterbalanced so that they neither roll up, nor down. A nudge sends them over centre, and they roll up. If you were able to watch for a bit longer, you'd see them rock back a bit.

Too much suspicion. They planned it carefully, engineered it beautifully and STILL had to have multiple takes to get it to work. Even then, there is STILL an edit to get the whole sequence ...

I'm not surprised it won awards!

It even got spoofed by the BBC for a local radio trailer "The Power Of Football", using items of football paraphenalia (line marking kit, footballs, a set of goal posts, turnstiles) ...

I don't know about you, but although it's nice film-making, I want to get where I'm going more reliably than one in every few hundred attempts. It's nice "when everything just works", and I'm sure the film-makers thought so too, but it's *soo* much nicer when it just works *first time every time*. So as an advert, it really doesn't work for me.

Exactly correct! Check and see if your ISP has "webmail", meaning a site where you log in and view (or edit, delete, or tag-as-spam) mail on their server. If so, configure it for ASCII text only; HTML looks funny but it does not execute either, providing a layer of security. It will be a rare e-mail that you accept for getting in the "normal" way, since you can respond to any you choose.

So one finds it and "rescues" it; in my case, i had to rename from randumb 8-character filename (no filetype) to something more memorable. BUT. You did not say how one can play the damn thing.

If you hit one hard enough, it will roll up-hill with enough energy to bang into the next one, etc. Which beggs the question as to why they aer "stuck" on that ramp before being "hit".

The download manager does not speed things up. And most of the *BIG* files that barfed in the middle had to be re-started from scratch. So, what is your point supposed to be???
