For over 40 years, I've studiously avoided anything having to do with industrial motors other than to provide the electronics to drive and/or control them. Now I've got to come up to speed to do a short (15 minute) expository on their care, feeding, and use. Anybody got a good URL on bonehead simple AC single phase motors?

Reminds me of an email I sent at work on Friday re: incorrect process data... an entry said we processed 39 million gallons per day of water, when we normally process only about 50,000 gallons per day. I wrote an email to our software contractor that the entry was several orders of magnutide greater than we were used to processing... ;) and to fix the algorithm used to calculate it, please...
