BJT base too negative?

if you see the other posts, I did. The emitter swings no more than +/- 1V from ground. I've also posted the base voltage with L900 removed and the emitter grounded directly.

good to know, thanks, I have only tried to use a few RF transistors as broadband noise sources (and they worked very well) by using the reverse EB conduction. It's been too many years.

maybe, but if it was cheaper than the TIP31B, they would have used it for Q903 too, I'd think.
