We have BC846B and BC847B and the BC856B/BC857B in our BOMs.
As far as I can see the only differences are in Vcbo and Vceo.
If that is the case why does the BC847B exist?
I am trying to rationalize the stock so want to drop unnecessary component variants.
back in the day. '547 was cheaper than '546 maybe the same for '847/'847?
Still is, where I live. And a 548 was cheaper than a 547, though price differences are now more to do with the source than with the devices themselves, so a BC547B is my standard low-power NPN now. In earlier times, a 547 was not available in the C gain group, but that's no longer the case.
