I don't know anything about this stuff. Why is that thing worth 3G?

Smells funny ! 50 - 60 Hz ? Look at rating plate.

Best Regards: Baron.

There is a theory that buying/selling some rubbish for incredible price is actually a way to legalize dubious transactions such as bribe, ransom, blackmail, etc.

This is a conspiracy theory, of course... but looking at the so-called modern art, that's the only explanation that makes any sense.

It's the "value" assigned by the manufacturer.

Did the auction run out, or was the product removed?

.

that or it is wound by virgins during full moon, using a kilo of silver wire insulated with kitty intestines:)

must have spend the money on something since the only name plate their could afford was from something that needs mains supply :)

Tim Wescott Wescott Design Services http://www.wescottdesign.com Do you need to implement control loops in software? "Applied Control Theory for Embedded Systems" was written for you. See details at http://www.wescottdesign.com/actfes/actfes.html

I suspect the manufacturer uses one badge for the entire company. They probably make some devices that run off the mains, hence the 50/60hz.

That said, it probably is an overpriced transformer.

My fractal program and Hubble do a far far better job at "Modern Art".

HV capacitors get good bucks on Ebay, Craig'slist, etc. but at least they are real, known elements, and as declared.

I can get $5 for a $1 cap. I have some 40kV caps I could likely get $20 each for.

My HV diode collection is a hard to find, rare, high per piece item too.

Especially since ALL of mine are new, never used items.

Any coilers out there that want some of the best stuff?

0 bids so far. There may yet be hope. But I wouldn't bet on it.

Step up transformer for vinyl record phonograph cartridges?

The seller has had 315 transactions with 100% positive feedback?

Watch out, it's a scam! Both transformers inside are marked "L" Shouldn't there be an "R" and an "L"? At this price point, you'd think so. And further, he's a goof. Spelled "coil" "ciol". Moron.

Was that to say, you wouldn't bet on it yourself or, you wouldn't bet that some one else would bet on it?

Just trying to unravel the lingo ;)

Jamie..

You're doing spelling lames when they're trying to charge $3K for this silver plated dog turd?

Being from the UK I can spot that as irony.

You may not have.

:-)

Nial.

It's quad, they'll sell the front and rear right sides in the next action! ;)
