Already did, I think you're thinking of the 3rd edition!

I got one on my shelf. Now, the third edition is due out 'Real Soon Now'... 8-)

The 2nd edition was out 1989. 1st, 1980.

When my wife had our second kid (born with her on all fours in a bathroom, with only me at her side), I remember her saying, "It's a good thing I couldn't remember what it was like having our 1st kid!" Now that I clearly remember, again, it's something I'd never want to do again. Okay. So we had three. But I got 'fixed' then. :)

I can only imagine the work involved in the first two as being enough for any two people in their lifetimes. I can easily imagine Win telling himself, "Not again!"

The other author, Paul, is involved with SETI (one project recently needing some last minute finances, it appears) and may have also thought the same thing:

It will all happen when it happens.

Hello Jon,

AFAIR Win and Paul are still planning the next edition. But all attempts to this date to pry an estimated print date out of Win have failed. That is understandable, considering that even much less menial tasks are hard to nail onto a timeline. Whenever my wife tried to press me for when I am going to be finished with that dreaded tiling project I told her "Some time in the near future".

I knew this. Which is why I said "It will all happen when it happens." And that's as it should be.

Win posted some questions a year or two about it (the current 2nd edition and what might be changed for the 3rd), maybe a couple years ago, and a lot of us gave input on it. Win and Paul can always go back to it through google groups whenever they get around to it.

By the way, Win, eBay has "32 items found for round tuit". Happy bidding!

Well, it better be soon or I'll have retired having worked as an EE between 1st and 3rd editions.
