Yes, and yelling FIRE in a movie theater is also free speech.

Well,it IS "free speech",it's just that there are consequences if someone gets hurt as a result of your action. It's like libel;you -can- say bad things about people, but you also can be held liable if it's ruled you libeled them.

(in earlier days, saying bad things about people could result in a duel! People were more polite back then...)

There's no law that says you can't yell "fire" in a theater.

"free speech" is about being able to voice one's opinions in public without government interference or punishment.

see,if "don" doesn't agree with what someone says,he wants that person censored, but expects that HIS opinions must be allowed and tolerated.

You've read something that hasn't yet been written? Wow! Will wonders never cease.

The devil is in the details, which haven't been negotiated between House and Senate versions yet. Until then, we're all discussing hypotheticals, based upon what the pundits are saying. I'm addressing the (rather bizarre) points made by a YouTube video. I don't know what you are reading.

No, we're all watching it on C-SPAN, like the President promised.

True, though each chamber's bill is out and readable (despite being unreadable, and changing every minute).

That's what we're reduced to since the negotiations and give-aways are being worked out in secret. They only whip it out at vote-time, just to be sure no one voting knows what's in it. A pig in a poke.

Latest: A 40% tax on policies with annual premiums over 8-ish k for an individual, 20-something for a family, exact figure being negotiated.

Exception: Union members and government workers are exempt.

IOW, you're compelled to purchase coverage under penalty of law, but not too much coverage--that wouldn't be fair, unless you're unionized or civil service, then it's fair.

That is so wrong on so many levels. The bright sunshine of public=20 processes is what is really needed. It is a wonderful disinfectant.

Just like the way W created laws by presidential decree instead of having congress and the senate debate those issues.

All presidents have their day in the darkness.
