Analog Design Kick off - articles, jobs and free books

Hello Friends,

It=92s my pleasure to introduce a site which would have a pool of documents and free books. This introduces my 1st experiment in blogging, starting with a topic that is focused directly on my professional interests - Analog Design and design automation for analog circuit designers. My hope is that this blog will become a lively place to discuss a wide range of topics that are of interest to analog design engineers, as well as to those who provide or support tools to support Analog Design. :-)

Before moving over to analog design, I can think of lots of questions and topics to discuss.

Here is my list of suggested topics to kick things off:

  1. What is the most difficult aspect of the analog design process?

  1. Are analog engineers truly different from digital engineers?

  2. What made you choose analog design?

  1. If you have been doing analog for a while, do you think the tools have gotten better or stayed the same?

  2. Do shrinking processes make analog design more difficult?

  1. What part of your job do you wish you could hand off to someone else to do?

  2. How do you interface to the digital engineers?

  1. Do you work in digital as well; use programming or modeling languages: Verilog, Verilog-AMS, etc.?

I'm curious to see the response, and whether this is effective or not!

Let=92s have an Analog Design tour.
