Why not just drive the same speed as everyone else? If the posted limit is 35 and everyone is going 50, why would obstruct traffic at some low speed? My biggest problem is wearing seat belts. Got 3 tickets so far. And one cop followed me a long ways to the nearest doughnut shop before turning on his light and requesting I pull into the doughnut shop parking lot where he wrote me a ticket and then bought a doughnut at the same time.

The traffic cameras around here are used in place of buried loop sensors to monitor traffic flow, and detect vehicles in the left turn lanes. The signals would go into emergency mode if you tried that.

Those are entirely different from speed cameras. They've been hacked here... people strobing a code that gives them the green light ;-) ...Jim Thompson

You are right, having just confirmed from an old Brimar valve manual. There was also a 1.4/5 volt heater loctal series as well, which were used in one of the BC series ww2 transceivers. iirc, there's a reference in one of the old Surplus Conversion Handbooks, but mine are buried in store at present.

Tales of a misspent youth ?: Command sets, BC348, HRO, R1155 etc etc are where many of us gained our early knowledge of the world of electronics...

Not on these two lane roads. Emergency vehicles just blow through the intersection in the oncoming lane, with lights & siren. Apparently, the buried wire loops were failing too often in some places so they went to video. This is the lightning capital of the US, after all.
