as long as it's plastic, you know how the TSA is these days...

I've had two of the 1-1/2" Swiss Army Pen Knives confiscated by TSA. Yet I carried thru a MASSIVE corkscrew one time and they missed it ;-) ...Jim Thompson

Try that with a bottle of water though, see how fast they catch the water.

Knives and corkscrews aren't a big deal, just ask Adam Savage who forgot a couple 12" razors in his bag. TSA didn't make a big deal about it, in fact, they didn't even mention a thing they just waved him through.

Water though, that's the threat. Imagine if someone splashed it in the face of a flight attendant or *gasp* a pilot!

Same for me. I had one (a silver & mother of pearl version - attached to my key ring) that I forgot I had on on. TSA busted me, but very fortunately, Burbank, CA airport had a service where you could FedEx back any forbidden items at a self-serve kiosk right near the TSA. Cost me $20, but it was a $100+ item. Worth it that it didn't get tossed (or kept by a TSA employee).

The asininity has to stop. Everyone needs to make a scene. ...Jim Thompson

"The lunatics have taken over the asylum" used to be a joke, but I see that truth is, indeed, stranger than fiction.

Thanks, Rich

Really? I didn't know that 'goobers' even knew what a woman was for.

For the last time: I am not a mad scientist, I'm just a very ticked off scientist!!!
