No. The great thing about Foothill was local Silicon Valley individuals selling stuff. Sometimes an HP old-timer would die and his kids would truck all the stuff in the garage to Foothill. Or he wouldn't die but his wife told him to get rid of it. Great stuff: equipmant, manuals, memoribilia, smutty HP postcards.

And some companies would clean up and sell stuff to employees dirt cheap, and they's truck it to Foothill.

As ebay got going, the good stuff disappeared and lots of junk moved in. Sad. It was an event.

Nope. I was born and raised on Rosemary Lane in Lemon Grove and I can guarantee that the only industry in Lemon Grove are the rocks it exports for the hard labor convicts in San Quentin.

Yeah..did not sound right; map is not all that decent. I think the city was a bit south and definitely east of SanDig, and one word name like Modesto, Lompoc, etc; maybe(?) began with "L". This was over 40 years ago and went there only once; a young town and growing fast, east toward the mountains. Arrrggggghhhhhhhhhhh! Better go to Egypy and SEE(d)NILE..

After playing with google maps, two matching choices show up, "La Mesa", and "Lakeside". Was it either of these?

La Mesa is right before El Cajon heading East. Lakeside is right after.

The town nearest to those I described other than ElCajon itself is "Santee".. That is the town the airport is in.

Lakeside is a possible; was so long ago.
