Advances In Neuroscience Inform Architecture Of Intelligible Pandemic Modeling

Like the fledgling brain, we have to build models that capture the uncertai nties we confront. And like the brain, Friston believes these models need o nly be complex enough to limit our major uncertainties at the moment. The w ay we, and our brains, achieve more precision is not through adding more co mplexity, but in networking these rough models together in ensembles and hi erarchies that constrain each other.

The DD clock is funny. They keep quietly moving it back, so they can occasionally jump it forward and make a press release. Problem is of course if they didn't creep it back, they would be dealing in milliseconds or picoseconds before midnight, and the public won't panic over a few picoseconds.

I wonder how much "the board" is paid.

CNN loves this sort of thing. I wonder if they coordinate.
