This thread evolved a topic, which is about coding 1-bit DACs to optimize the tradeoffs between bandwidth, ripple, accuracy, and edge density, and the associated coding algorithms. I learned some things. I kind of like the idea of using a few bursts of {+-1}-unequal pulses in each sample period, which could be done with a forward algorithm or a delta-sigma sort of feedback.
You had nothing to say on topic. Why?

John Larkin occasionally posts interesting stuff, and - unlike Jim Thompson - he explains more or less what it does and how it works.
Jim Thompson wants us to work out what his circuits do for him, and has yet to post a simple and coherent explanation of what one of his circuits does and how it works. Winfield Hill did that, and Phil Hobbs does too - both h ave written text-books, and it shows. Maybe Jim should try that sometime.
