30 years after Intel lost its smoking tradition

There are exactly zero door-to-door salesmen in Colorado.

The point at which one is allowed to defend one's property in that state starts at the perimeter fence line. So yes, you can get shot right through the door there.

I think that a great number of those in this group have serious "big picture" vision issues.

True, if DecadentLinuxUser meant "self-important" (which seems likely).

It's not a particularly extravagant claim. John Larkin is a remarkably gullible twit.

It wasn't long ago one of those "medical studies" reported that smoking actually helps ward off Alzheimer's. Like many others, I've long since stopped taking the slightest interest in "medical studies" for what should be obvious reasons.

Yes. Death prevents Alzheimer's.

Smoking damages the brain by messing up the blood circulation system. Alzheimer's seems to caused by accumulation of amyloid plaque between brain cells and neurofibrillary tangles within brain cells.

There's no contradiction between the two assertions. Smoking tends to kill you before you are likely to get Alzheimer's so any protection you got against Alzheimer's wouldn't be all that useful.

The reason is pretty obvious - Cursitor Doom is too dumb to makes sense of what he reads.

Pretty much.

CD should be read in the same way you read the Daily Mail. If you read something surprising then there's no need to ponder whether you need to change your mind: it is almost certainly wrong and is probably there simply as clickbait.

As opposed to krw, who is known to be mostly wrong, but remains blissfully unaware of his numerous mistakes and misapprehensions.
