2SK94

Nov 20, 2006 3 Replies

I need to find a replacement for JFET 2SK94.

It has a behaviour similar do junction transistors. In a source follower (like emitter follower) it shows 0.5V voltage drop from Gate to Source. Most of other JFETS exhibit about 3 volts.

As: Drain to +8, Gate to 0V, Source to -8V by 10K resistor - Source shows about +0.5V. (This is the normal behaviour observed is a perfectly functional equipment).

Looks like 2SK94 is very old.

Thanks for any help. H. Martins

But opposite polarity, of course. NPN junction would show 0.7V more negative in emitter relative to base. This FET shows 0.5V more positive in Source relative to Gate.

Mouser shows stock for the following transistors which they claim to be a cross-reference match for the 2SK94 (I didn't verify the specs):

- NTE2399 $14.80/1pce

- NTE2385 $6.56/1pce

- NTE2388 $7.73/1pce

- MMBFJ202 $0.083/3000pces

We have many of the impossible to find 2SK semiconductors up as

But no 94's.

Lots of other 2SX as well in bulk.
