SMT device references

Have a look around

Most ICs are available in both through-hole and SMT packages - look at IC makers' sites, such as Texas Instrument or National Semiconductor.

A wide range of resistors and capacitors are available, in different package sizes.

Thank you. I am looking for a printable reference, sorry for my bad-explained question: my english is not that good.

When I was using OrCad, there was a list of the device packages which could be used (eg. RC05 for resistors). Now I am looking for similar list, but referred to SMT devices and written according to an existing standard.

Do I have to post my request to sci.electronics.components?

I have downloaded the pdf catalog (about 2,000 pages into 87Mb), thank you. I think it may be useful.

If a part isn't available from someone like Digikey, there is a good chance that it will be hard to find. You can go to each manufacturer's website to download some information, but its easier to just keep a list of the pages you want in a larger document. Also, Digikey used to have an SMD section in the main index.
