I need a chip or microcontroller to build two axes XY tables. Do you know a chip for this purpose.

I'm unclear what you mean by " build two axes XY tables " but I'm sure almost any decent microcontroller could be used.

Have you looked at the 8051 family ?

Maybe he means with embedded stepper motor controllers?
