which version of pspice matches book"spice a guide to circuit simulation and analysis"?

hi all I have been told "spice a guide to circuit simulation and analysis using pspice" is a classic book for learning pspice, but when I read the book, I found it is almost impossible to implement the book example in my ORCAD 9.2, I am really wanting to read through this book since it is classic, so can anyone tell me which version Pspice match this book, I am current in windows and I will prefer windows version if possible, otherwise, linux version is fine to me too. Thanks a lot

I designed computer and analogue circuits for 30 years and have never touched a simulation except out of curiosity. And I never had any problems.

And you've never designed a chip with thousands of transistors... all DC-coupled ;-)
