Find what software your college uses and see if they have an arrangement allowing you to have your own copy of it. Failing that, free demo versions of many packages are available allowing limited size designs which are often adequate for student use. Or, you could buy a low-cost package like Easy-PC for yourself

Howdy folks I am studying electronics engineering at college, although I have had many years experience in point to point wiring. I am new to pcb design etc, I want to design my own pcbs and either make or get someone else make the boards for me. Does any company make software such as orcad etc and have academic pricing????? What do I need to get started? Remember I am a new at this no! flaming please. Thanks in advance.
