Phil, where are your results?

Question

Phil dropped out of uni for reasons yet unexplained.... Was he too stupid? Or did he have a mental breakdown? What ever happened it was too much for poor little Phil and he ran away from university life, never to return. Very strange behaviour.

Phil Allison claims to have studied some obscure 'honours' course in the '70's. Fact is, there is no evidence that the subjects he claimed to have studied even existed! Now Phil, you can clear all this up by scanning that piece of green paper that the University of Sydney sent you after the exams. It has "EXAMINATION RESULT NOTICE" clearly printed on it. I have mine, where are yours?

Come on Phil, just post the results from your Junior year, let us all see if you really had studied different subjects to the rest of us (including Robert Heal) For example if you really did enrol in engineering you must have done Electrical Circuit Theory in your first year - what grade did you get in that subject?

It's a bit sad to think of the number of people over the years who have come here looking to learn & asking questions only to be called an "autistic #unt". Sure some of the questions seem stupid to those who are more experienced but those who are experienced should have the intelligence to understand that there are those who don't or are simply less capable.

Whether or not Phil did whatever course or training, does it matter? If you followed aus.electronics over the decades you would know that Phil has a lot of sometimes very specific and in general valuable knowledge and is never too lazy to share it. The fact that his "style" may often cause offense or even distress for the unprepared is sad and undisputed. However, if one takes into account his personality and decides to tolerate it, the overall balance is positive. I am more likely to follow a thread where Phil is contributing, as I might pick up some interesting information and get some amusement along the way. You won't change him, so why not stop picking on him?
