Packard Bell Tft Monitor FT500 Problem

I have a problem with monitor as follows:

When switched on at mains - on/off green indicator light cycles on for

5secs then off for 1.5 secs then repeats sequence for as long as power is applied.

The screen remains black except for slight flicker initially. The PSU and Inverter pcb is a Frontek FLF 1542-02A and although this looks OK from a visual inspection (no burnt components etc) so wonder if there are any other checks that anyone can suggest - bearing in mind that this is a home cure job not workshop.

The monitor is a 2003 model with Part No 6901830000

Probably easier to bin it and get a new one - but theres no challenge in that.

It sounds most likely that the inverter is bad. Troubleshooting these things is not usually possible....best to replace it. If you cannot find the exact part, something designed for the same size monitor and number/size of CCFL tubes will probably work...with some mechanical adaption.

Thanks for the info. Had a feeling that it would not be something simple. Did not cost much to begin with (ex Ebay) so not worth messing around with.

Will bin it and buy a new one - NOT Ebay.

Thanks again Regards - Stuart

in english: also I have the same problem, black screen and the key power that it is ignited and is extinguished. it could be the local power supply?

in italian: anche io ho lo stesso problema ,schermo nero ed il tasto power che si accende e si spegne. potrebbe essere l' alimentatore?
