What kind of help do you need? I am using a Spartan-3 board as well and I connect it to the parallel port of the computer using a Xilinx Parallel IV cable. You can use a Parallel III or a USB cable as well.

There are lots of different ways to do that. Which interface of the PC do you want to use ? You can choose between USB, Firewire, Ethernet, parallel port, RS232, PCMCIA, PCI, ISA and some millions more.
But there is a simple and cost effective solution with the Xilinx Parallel cable III. Use the JTAG interface with an user JTAG register.

Hi, You may also want to look at the GNAT design which was featured in the following Xilinx Xcell Journal.
This design uses the JTAG port of the FPGA as a communication channel from a PC to the logic in your design. You can use it as an interface to the PicoBlaze.
The GNAT design is available for download for free from here.
