has anybody seen that the watchdog implementation of a RP B seems to contain a misspelling?
watchdog[2562]: hardware wartchdog identity: BCM2708

That's the /usr/sbin/watchdog utility itself - nothing to do with the Pi - you'll see that on all Debian Wheezy installations using it (and very probably all others too!
